Well known battle rapper, Tsu-Surf, A.K.A. Rahjon Cox, was arrested at a home in Jersey City, N.J. yesterday. A report from Hip-Hop DX said Surf was apprehended as he attempted to flee through the back door of a home on the 200 block of Wilkinson Avenue on Thursday.

Surf was reportedly apprehended by U.S. Marshals and the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force. The two combined to serve a search warrant for Surf’s arrest. According to the report, things did not go as smooth as planned. Surf reportedly barricaded himself inside of a building for an unspecified amount of time, before finally surrendering peacefully, after conversing with a hostage negotiator that had been brought in.
The Hip-Hop DX report did not go too deep into what Tsu-Surf is being charged with besides racketeering. The rapper’s next court appearance is scheduled for an undisclosed time on Friday in Newark Federal Court.
