A 17-year old male was reportedly shot multiple times while riding on a small motorcycle. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Investigators said at least three weapons were used during the shootout (Two different handguns and an AK-47 assault rifle). Five unattached magazines were recovered at the scene, including one that investigators say was thrown onto a rooftop by someone. During their investigation, police got word that some of the suspected shooters had barricaded themselves inside of a nearby garage. The SWAT Team was reportedly called to the location at that time.

After breaching the property, SWAT teams reported that the building was empty, and the suspects were not inside.

“There was however indication that someone or some people were inside and left in a hurry leaving behind evidence of criminal activity including cash and also weapons and possibly some additional ammunition”, said Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace.

Police said two individuals showed up at Temple University Hospital shortly after the shooting, to be treated for gunshot wounds. Detectives said it’s possible that they were victims of the shooting.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
