SUSPECT SHOT BY POLICE IN NORTH PHILLY BELIEVED TO BE CONNECTED TO MURDER AT FEDEX AIRPORT FACILITY

A person was reportedly shot and killed at the FedEx Distribution Center near the Philadelphia International Airport this afternoon. A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened at FedEx’s Cargo City facility in Tinicum, P.A. on Friday afternoon. That same suspect was reportedly shot by police in North Philly later in the evening.

That shooting took place at 10th & Westmoreland Streets at around 5:30 p.m. According to police, the suspect fired at officers before officers returned fire, hitting the suspect. The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital with undisclosed injuries. His condition was unknown.

Authorities did not say how the suspect was connected to the shooting at the FedEx facility.
