An unidentified man is dead after reportedly being shot in the neck in the Ogontz neighborhood last night. A Fox-29 report said the incident happened at Ogontz & Stenton Avenues at around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

First responding officers at the scene reported finding the victim walking in the area and bleeding heavily from a gunshot wound to the neck. Police rushed the victim to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where the victim later died as a result of his injuries.
Witnesses told police that the victim had gotten out of a Buick sedan that was traveling northbound on Ogontz Avenue that stopped at the intersection. Onlookers rushed to attempt to assists the injured man. Police arrived on the scene shortly afterward.
Investigators said they did not believe the victim was shot at the location. However, they are not sure if he drove himself or was driven to the scene. The Buick sedan was still parked on Ogontz Avenue this morning. There was blood found in the driver’s seat of the car, which is now part of the crime scene/evidence.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
