A spectator at Sunday’s football game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets reportedly died after falling from an escalator. A report from the Associated Press said the incident happened at around 4:45 p.m. at Acrisure Stadium.
The incident took place shortly after New York’s 24-20 win over the Steelers on Sunday. Paramedics reportedly administered care to the male victim before rushing him to a local hospital. The unidentified victim died shortly after arriving. A written statement from the Pittsburgh Steelers Organization read:
“We are aware of an unfortunate incident that occurred inside Acrisure Stadium today. We are working with local authorities and helping their investigation into the matter. We are sending our thought and prayers to the victim’s family”
