A 17-year old female was reportedly killed yesterday after being hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Philadelphia Charter School. A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon at the Ecxel Academy South School, located on the 4600 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard.

First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the 17-year old female victim lying in the parking lot unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital where she died a short time later.
Police said the incident began as a large altercation between students in the school’s parking lot. At some point during the altercation, an 18-year old attempted to leave the scene. She hit the 17-year old as she reversed the Chrysler sedan she was driving. The driver remained at the scene after the accident, and is reportedly cooperating with police. No charges have been filed at the moment. An investigation is ongoing, according to police.
The victim has not yet been identified.
