4 TEENS INJURED & 1 KILLED AFTER SHOOTING NEAR ROXBOROUGH HIGH SCHOOL

1 teenager was reportedly killed and four others were injured, after a group of teens were targeted in a shooting that police called an “ambush”, outside of Roxborough High School yesterday. A report from 6 ABC Action News said the incident happened on Pechin Street at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting reportedly took place after a junior varsity football scrimmage between three schools was ending (Roxborough, Northeast, & Boys Latin Charter School). According to investigators, the five players were walking off the field when two gunman fired at least 30-shots from a green Ford Explorer.

The five victims were:

A 14-year old, who was shot and later died at the hospital. Three teens aged 14 through 17. They were all taken to a local hospital where all three were last reported to be in stable condition. Victim number five suffered a graze wound. He was treated for his injuries at the scene. All five of the victims are players for Roxborough High School’s football team.

The suspects reportedly fled on foot after the shooting. Investigators did not give any word on a possible motive for the shooting. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
