An innocent bystander was shot yesterday after she was caught in the crossfire of a shootout in North Philadelphia yesterday. According to a 6 ABC Action News report the incident happened on the 3100 block of North 22nd Street at around 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
The 29-year old female victim was reportedly on her way home from a voter registration drive when she found herself caught in the middle of a gunfight between two groups of people. Investigators said the woman suffered at least one gunshot wound during the incident.
The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where she was last reported to be in stable condition.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
