DOUBLE SHOOTING IN NORTH PHILLY LEAVES 2 INJURED

Two men were injured early this morning during a double shooting in North Philly. An NBC-10 Philadelphia report said the incident happened on the 6200 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue at around 12:38 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Police said there were about 100 people outside at the time of the shooting. A 22-year old male was reportedly shot once in the foot. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition. A second gunshot victim who suffered a gunshot wound to the arm, walked to the hospital and was also last reported to be in stable condition. Police said a total of nine shell casings were recovered from the scene. There was no word given on a possible motive for the shooting.

A weapon was reportedly recovered at the scene, and a suspect was apprehended and taken into custody shortly after the shooting. An investigation is still ongoing.
