A teenager who was wounded in a double shooting in the Kensington section of the city last night reportedly took a Septa bus to the hospital. A report from 6 ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 3100 block of Potter Street at around 11 p.m. on Thursday night.
First arriving police officers on the scene reported finding one victim lying on the street. The unidentified male, who is believed to be in his 20’s or 30’s, was unresponsive when police found him. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition.
During the initial investigation, police learned that a second victim had checked himself into Jefferson Torresdale Hospital. The 16-year old victim had been shot in the ear. The injured teen told police he had been shot around the corner from Potter Street, on Kensington & Alleghany Avenues. He told police he ran to a nearby Septa station and caught a bus to the hospital. Police did not give any word on a possible motive for the shooting.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been reported at this time.
