A 35-year old man was reportedly found shot to death inside of a home in Northeast Philly yesterday. A report from Fox-29 Philly said police responded to a call of a reported shooting at a home on the 6200 block of Marsden Street at around 5 p.m. on Friday evening.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the victim in the basement of the home. He was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
After a preliminary investigation, and speaking with multiple witnesses in the area, police believe the victim was shot outside the house as he sat inside of a white Ford Mustang parked in front of the door. The suspect was reportedly inside of the car talking to the driver when he was shot. Police say he then stumbled into the home where he was eventually found dead. Police said they believe the motive behind the shooting was “drug related”.
Police believe they know who they are searching for, but at the moment no arrests have been made in the shooting/murder.
