Three people were shot in the Kensington section of the city overnight. Two of the victims were reportedly critically injured in the shooting. According to a PHL-17 report, the incident happened on the 3000 block of Jasper Street at around 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday night.
A 20-year old man was reportedly shot three times. Once in the left arm, right hand, and left thigh. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition.
A 20-year old woman was shot once in the buttocks. She was rushed to Temple University Hospital where she was last reported to be in stable condition. A 17-year old boy was victim number three. He was shot in the right thigh. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital also. The teen was last reported to be in critical condition as a result of his injuries.
A 2019 Toyota riddled with multiple bullet holes was found at the scene. The report did not say if the vehicle belonged to one of the victims. A motive for the triple shooting has not been revealed, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made at this time.
