A 29-year old man was shot inside of his apartment in the West Philly section of the city last night. A CBS-3 Philly report said the incident happened on the 5200 block of Chestnut Street at around 2 a.m. on Friday morning.
Police said the victim told them a “break in” led to a confrontation between the victim and the suspect. The victim was shot twice in the abdomen. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition. The victim said he confronted the suspect inside of his apartment right before the shooting. He also told police he knows the shooter.
No arrests have been made at this time, but thanks to the victim, police know who the suspected shooter is.
