A woman was reportedly killed last night when a stray bullet fired from a car that was involved in a drive-by, struck her. A report from CBS-3 Philly said the incident happened on the 1800 block of Harrison Street in the Frankford section of the city, at around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.

The victim, who has been identified as, 29-year old, Tylesha Watson, who was standing on a front porch grilling and listening to music with some friends, when the shooting began. Police said they have obtained surveillance video showing a silver car fly through the 1800 block of Harrison Street. Someone from inside of the vehicle fired several shots at a group of people standing on the corner.
No one on the corner was reported injured, but Ms. Watson suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder during the shooting. She was rushed to Temple University Hospital where she died a short time later.
Ms. Watson was an innocent victim, who was just out enjoying a barbeque at a friends house with her kids.
“They weren’t doing anything. They were having a good time. We were yelling across from each other and they were doing karaoke, cooking out on the grill, and next thing you know….pop, pop, pop. I come downstairs and she’s flat on her front and everyone over there is trying to help her,” said a witness who asked not to be identified.
Police did not give any word on a possible motive for the shooting. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
