51-year old, Michael Lawrence Tyler, A.K.A. Mystikal, was arrested in Louisiana on Sunday and charged with rape and other related charges. A report from CNN said the rapper was picked up and arrested, after a woman who had walked into a hospital, called the Ascension Parish Police and reported a sexual assault. After an investigation, police determined that they had sufficient evidence to take Mystikal into police custody and charge him.
Mystikal was charged with first degree rape, simple robbery, domestic abuse battery/strangulation, false imprisonment, and simple criminal damage to property. According to the CNN report, Mystikal is currently being held at the Ascension Parish Jail. The report did not give any word on a bond.
