22-year old, Diasia Sease, from Harrisburg, Pa, was found dead in a room at a Best Western Hotel in Modesto, California, at around 11 a.m. on Wednesday July 20th, according to a report from Pennlive.com.
31-year old, Maurice Franklin, from Stockton, C.A., was arrested in connection with Sease’s murder on Saturday afternoon, during a traffic stop in Stockton. A search of Franklin’s home reportedly turned up two firearms and “additional information related to the crime”, according to investigators.
The Best Western Hotel in Modesto is about 33 miles from Franklin’s home in Stockton, C.A. Police said they did not know of a motive at this time.
The report said Sease was found fatally shot, but did not go into further details about the murder. Investigators also said they weren’t sure how, or if Sease knew Franklin.
