7-YEAR OLD HIT BY STRAY BULLET DURING GUNFIGHT IN GERMANTOWN

A 7-year old boy was reportedly hit by gunfire after he was caught in the middle of a shootout that happened in the Germantown section of the city last night. A 6 ABC Action News report said a shootout broke out between two groups of people on the 200 block of Armstrong Street shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday night.

The 7-year old victim was hit in the hand during the shootout. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

Police said at least 11 shots were fired during the shootout. Two cars and two homes were left with bullet holes in them as a result of the drama. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. Police did not give any word on a motive for the shooting.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
