35-year old, Kristy Woody was arrested on Friday and charged with buying guns and then turning around and selling them to minors in the city. A 6 ABC Action News report said one of the guns Woody sold to a minor was positively identified as the weapon used in a recent shooting.
Woody showed up on the radar of investigators, when one of the minors she’d sold a gun to was identified by a surveillance camera, as being the person who fired a gun in the direction of a street in the Kensington section of the city, in November of 2021, according to the Philly DA’s Office.
After being arrested, Woody admitted to selling guns to three minors in exchange for cash. Woody is currently being held on $500,000 bail.
