29-year old, Kate McClure was sentenced to 1-year and a day in a federal prison for her role in a GoFundMe scam that took unknowing donors for $401,000. A report from 6 ABC Action News said McClure was also ordered by a federal judge, to perform 3-years supervised release after finishing her prison sentence, and to pay back her portion of the $401,000 now owed to GoFundMe.

McClure’s ex-boyfriend and co-defendant, Mark Damico, pleaded guilty to being the “ringleader” of the GoFundMe scheme back in November. He was sentenced to 27-months in prison earlier this year.
