Two teens and a young man were shot while driving through the Kensington section of the city last night. According to a 6 ABC Action News report, the victims were traveling in a Cadillac near Emerald & Madison Streets, at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, when an unknown gunman began firing at the Cadillac from another car.
The 18-year old male driver of the vehicle suffered a graze wound to the head. He managed to drive the Cadillac to the hospital after being shot. The 18-year old was last reported to be in stable condition.
A 22-year old male passenger inside of the Caddy was grazed in the arm. He was also last reported to be in stable condition.
A 17-year old male passenger was shot in the back. All three were initially treated at Episcopal Hospital. The 17-year old was transferred to Temple University upon arrival, due to the severity of his injuries. He was stabilized by Temple University Hospital doctors, and last reported to be in stable condition also. Police have not yet determined a motive for the drive-by shooting.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
