A St. Joseph’s University student was reportedly tied up and robbed inside of his off-campus home, early yesterday in the Wynnefield section of the city. A 6 ABC Action News reports said the incident took place on the 5700 block of Drexel Road, at around 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

According to neighbors in the neighborhood, the 19-year old victim had just recently moved in to the home. Police said the suspects broke into the home through the basement. The 19-year old victim was reportedly awakened from his sleep at gunpoint by three to four suspects. The suspects tied the victim up before they looted the place and left.

The suspects got away with the victim’s laptop, wallet, and cell phone along with other valuables. This is the second reported home invasion targeting college students in the area. A student was reportedly shot during an attempted carjacking in the area last month.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
