Mexican soldiers reportedly raided a warehouse in Culiacan, Mexico last week. A Huffington Post report called the raid “historic” in the amount of drugs that were seized in the warehouse, that included $200 million worth of Fentanyl alone.
The July 2nd raid reportedly netted:
- 2000 pounds of Fentanyl
- 1224 pounds of Methamphetamines
- 15 pounds of heroin
- 68 pounds of cocaine
- 156,528 pounds of “processing materials”
Assistant Public Safety Secretary, Ricardo Meija, said “this is the largest seizure in history of this lethal drug.
10 people were reportedly arrested during the raid by the Mexican Army & National Guard. Authorities said the warehouse was a well known “hangout” for members of the “organized crime” world. Authorities also said the alleged leader of the gang, who they did not call out by name, managed to escape the raid.
