2 MEN SHOT DURING FUNERAL PROCESSION; POLICE SAY “BOTH WERE 100% TARGETED”

Two men were shot and killed during an ambush during a funeral procession in Upper Darby, P.A., this afternoon. A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened as the procession neared Marshall Road & Powell Lane, on Friday afternoon at around 1 p.m.

The funeral was reportedly being held for the victim of a homicide that took place a hop, skip, and a jump away from Upper Darby, in Philadelphia. Upper Darby and Philadelphia Police are now reportedly working on the shooting case together, which neither police department believes was random.

One hundred percent targeted, 100% ambushed. They were followed, and they were targeted, and they were assassinated and killed”, Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said on Friday afternoon.

Even though police say the shooting was targeted, they did not report knowing of a motive for the shooting at this time. No suspect(s) have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
