A 37-year old woman was reportedly found shot to death in the living room of an apartment in the Frankford section of the city last night. A Fox-29 Philadelphia report said police responded to a call of a shooting in an apartment building, on the 1300 block of Arrott Street, on Sunday night.

First responding officers at the scene said, when they discovered the victim, she was reportedly in a defensive position, as if trying to shield herself. The victim had one bullet in the forearm, and one in the chest, which police say was the fatal shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they believe the woman was shot at least two to three hours before her body was found. Police said the two shell casings found near the victim’s body, suggest she was shot at close range. Police believe the motive for the shooting was domestic-related.
No suspects were named in the report and no arrests have been made at this time.
