Two police officers were reportedly shot during the fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia tonight. A Fox-29 Philly report said the incident happened on the 2400 block of Spring Garden Street at around 10 p.m. on Monday night.
A Philadelphia Police officer was reportedly grazed in the head by a bullet. A second police officer, who is a member of the Montgomery County Bomb Squad, was shot in the right shoulder.
Both officers were taken to Jefferson University Hospital where they were both last reported to be in stable condition. A large crowd that had been gathered on the Parkway at the concert, scattered as shots began to ring out. Police did not give any word on a possible motivation for the shooting.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
