A fight between two security guards and a customer, at a sports bar in the Rhawnhurst section of the city, ended with one person hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest. A Fox 29-Philly report said, police officers responded to a call of “gunshots fired” at the Ipanema Sports Bar & Grill on Castor Avenue at a little after 2 a.m. on Saturday morning.
First responding police officers to the scene reported finding a 26-year old man who’d reportedly been shot in the chest by a security guard, who police say worked for another sports bar in the area. He was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
A fight between two security guards and another individual led to the shooting, according to police. A suspect was reportedly taken into custody.
