22-year old, Isaac Argo has been arrested and charged in the murder of Azsia Johnson, who was shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon as she pushed her 3-month old baby in a stroller, in New York’s Upper East Side neighborhood. A report from People Magazine said NYPD Police Commissioner, Keechant Sewell, announced the arrest via Twitter on Friday.
“22-year old, Isaac Argo, has been arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in regard to the tragic shooting of Azsia Johnson on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. @NYPDDetectives continue to be relentless in their pursuit of justice”, said Sewell, via Tweet.
The family of Azsia Johnson said, Argo was the father of the 3-month old Johnson was pushing in the baby stroller when Argo allegedly shot and killed her. Argo is also alleged to have preciously stalked and abused Johnson in the past.
ABC-7 News reported that one of Johnson’s last text messages was to a family member, who she told she was meeting with her 3-month old child’s father to “work things out.”
