A triple-shooting in the Frankford section of the city last night, reportedly left three men hospitalized afterward, one of the victims, critical. According to a CBS-3 Philly report, the incident happened on the 4700 block of Griscom Street at around 10 p.m. on Thursday night.
Over 70-shots were fired during the shootout between two rival groups. First responding police officers at the scene reported finding a 30-year old man in the driver’s seat of a Mazda. he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition.
The two other victims of the triple-shooting were a 28-year old man who had reportedly been shot on time in the right knee, and a 27-year old who was reportedly shot in the left arm. He was discharged from the hospital after treatment.
Multiple unattended parked cars on the block were reportedly struck in the hail of gunfire. Police reported recovering multiple weapons at the scene.
The motive for the shooting remains unknown. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
