40-YEAR OLD MAN IN CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER BEING SHOT BY ROOMATE IN FRANKFORD

A 40-year old man was reportedly shot and killed in the Frankford section of the city, early on Friday morning. A Fox-29 Philly report said police were called to the 3700 block of N Jasper Street at around 1 a.m. for a reporting of a shooting.

First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the victim lying on the ground outside of the home he lived in. The victim was suffering from gunshot wound throughout his body, to his head, and the chest. The unresponsive victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was last reported to be in critical condition.

According to witness interviews with investigators, the victim was shot by his roommate, who reportedly lived knew the victim for many years. Details were still being pieced together, but police believe a fight between the two may have led to the shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time.
