54-year old King Hua was reportedly shot and killed in what the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, called “an apparent road rage incident”, in Springfield Township yesterday. A 6 ABC Action News report said the incident happened on (Route 1) State Road near Meetinghouse Lane at around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

First responding police officers arrived at the scene at around 8:43. The officers were called for a reported vehicle crash, and shots fired. After talking to witnesses and a preliminary investigation, investigators said they believe the victim was shot for driving too slow in rush hour traffic.
The victim and his wife were reportedly traveling Southbound in a white Toyota on State Road, when a female driver of another vehicle passed them on the shoulder of the road.
The vehicle stopped. A male passenger reportedly opened the door, leaned out, and fired shots at the Toyota. The bullets went through the Toyota’s windshield and hit Hua, who was driving the Toyota. Hua was rushed to the hospital, but he died of his injuries shortly after arriving.
No suspects have been named and no arrest have been made at this time.
