MAN FOUND SHOT TO DEATH IN WEST OAK LANE

Police say a 20-year old man, who has been identified as, Zamir Syrus was found unresponsive on the sidewalk, after being shot multiple times, in the West Oak Lane section of the city on Monday night. A Fox 29-Philadelphia report said the incident happened on the 6400 block of Broad Street.

The victim had reportedly been shot several times and was suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and neck. Medics rushed the victim to the hospital, but the victim was pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Hospital upon arrival.

Police reported finding a semi-automatic weapon on the victim. A small plastic bag with live bullets inside was found at the scene. A motive for the shooting has not been reported by police.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
