The couple were returning home, and pulling into their houses’ driveway, being tailed by a red Rav-4 that had reportedly been following the couple for an unnamed amount of time. The couple said a man exited the passenger’s side brandishing a handgun. They said he demanded the keys to their vehicle. The husband resisted. He and the armed robber got into a scuffle. The suspect fired a single shot, striking the husband in the arm. The suspect ran back to the Rav-4 and fled empty-handed after the shooting. The husband was taken to Robert Woods Hospital to be treated for his wound.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
