A 76-year old man was reportedly shot and killed in the Juniata section of the city as he was taking his morning walk, in the early morning hours today. A 6 ABC Action News report said, the incident happened on the 4200 block of Claridge Street at around 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The 76-year old victim was shot once. First responding officers at the scene said they found the victim near the backdoor of his house. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The senior citizen was reportedly just returning from his morning walk, when he was shot right outside of his backyard’d gate. Police said the area is commonly frequented by elders working out, walking, and exercising.
There has been no known motive for the shooting. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
