Two people were killed at a church in suburban Vestavia Hills, Alabama yesterday, when a lone gunman entered the church and opened fire on a small group having a meeting at the church. According to a 6 ABC Action News report, the incident happened at around 7:22 p.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
Vestavia Hills Police said a suspect was currently in police custody. The church had an event they named “Boomers Potluck” scheduled to begin at the time of the shooting. Police didn’t answer any questions after giving a brief statement.
