A 22-year old man was reportedly shot just a few feet from the front door of his home yesterday, in the North Philly section of the city. A Fox-29 Philly report said the incident happened at around 5 p.m. on Monday evening on the 2800 block of Bonsall Street.
First responding officers to the scene reported finding a crime scene when they arrived at the location, but no victim. Police were later told that the 22-year old victim had already been transported to the hospital in the back of a flatbed truck, by family members.
The victim was reportedly shot in the forehead, neck, and shoulder by an unknown shooter. Police said the 22-year old is currently in critical condition, but should feel lucky to be alive after the shooting.
“He is critical, but for some reason he is conscious, and he is expected to survive. He is a very lucky young man”. Police Chief Inspector, Scott Small, told reporters.
Because there were no spent shell casings found at the scene, police believe the shooting may have been done with a revolver. No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
