Rapper Roddy Rich was reportedly arrested just hours before he was set to perform at the NY Governor’s Ball that took place at Citi Field Baseball Stadium in Queens, New York, yesterday. A TMZ report said, Roddy was hit with weapons possession charges hours before his set.
Roddy and members of his team were stopped at a checkpoint at the Citi Field venue that he was set to perform at in a few hours. When authorities searched the vehicle, they reportedly found a loaded firearm, nine rounds of ammunition, and “a large magazine”, according to the report.
Roddy and two other members of his team were arrested and charged with four counts of criminal weapons possession, possession of a large capacity ammo feeding device, and unlawful possession of that device.
There was no word on bond amount or if Roddy Rich has been released from police custody, at this time.
