An armored Garda truck was reportedly carjacked ay Gunpoint in Wilmington, Delaware this morning. According to a 6 ABC Action News report, the incident happened at around 11:30 A.M. on Friday morning outside Pabian Properties on the 100 block of North Maryland Avenue.
Two female employees were ambushed and assaulted by a male disguised in a blue Garda uniform as they made their pick-up at the business. The suspect reportedly pulled out a stun gun and used it on one of the employees, disarming her in the process. The suspect then jumped into the Garda truck and drove off. The incident was reportedly captured on video.
“In the video you kind of see her and the other Garda Officer kind of backing off and running toward our front door and that’s when he got into the truck and sped off “, said CEO of Pabian Industries, Ed Pabian.
The suspect reportedly drove the truck to Mansion Road & Mary Street, where he removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the truck, before he abandoned the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction.
Pabian said, The GardaWorld Company has been picking up cash at his business for over a decade.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
