A 31-year old man was reportedly shot in the Overbrook section of the city, after attempting to intervene in a domestic dispute between a male and a female. A report from 6 ABC Action News said, the victim told police that he was driving on the 1700 block of North 76th Street at around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
The victim said he saw a man and a woman arguing on the block, so he pulled over to ask the woman if she was o.k. The male arguing with the woman immediately became irritated
“That’s when the male walked up to the driver’s side of the vehicle and fired at least four shots, striking the 31-year old while he was in the driver’s seat of his Honda CRV, and struck him in his right arm and left leg”, Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector, Scott Small said.
The victim reportedly drove himself to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. He was last reported to be in stable condition.
The identity of the male shooter and his female companion remain unknown, no weapon was recovered at the scene, and no arrests have been made in the shooting at this time.
