Three teenagers were reportedly injured in a triple-shooting in North Philadelphia last night. 6 ABC Action News reported, the incident happened on Monday night at around 9:15 p.m., on 19th & Diamond Streets.
First responding officers to the scene reported finding a 14-year old girl who had been shot in her hand and arm, when they arrived at the scene. Also discovered injured at the scene were, a 15-year old boy, who had gunshot wounds to his legs and back, and another 15-year old boy. Police said that teen had been shot in the hip.
The 14-year old girl, and one of the 15-year old boys were at the hospital and last reported to be in stable condition. The 15-year old who was shot in the hip was last reported to be in critical condition.
According to the police report, the three victims were walking along Diamond Street. As soon as the victims turned and began traveling down 19th Street, they were ambushed by gunfire.
“The only description of the offenders we think ran Northbound on 19th Street and East or West on Diamond is young males, they appear to be wearing dark clothing with a mask on, and we believe they’re around the same age as our victims, between 15 and 16 years of age”, said Philadelphia Police Captain, John Walker.
No weapons were reported recovered at the scene and no arrests have been made at this time.
