A pregnant woman was reportedly shot and killed in the Port Richmond of Philadelphia. A 6 ABC Action News report said, the incident happened near the intersection of Richmond Street and Wheatsheaf Lane on Saturday morning, shortly after 1 a.m.
First responding officers at the scene reported finding the victim with a single gunshot wound to the head. The pregnant woman was rushed to the hospital. Doctors reportedly saved the child she was carrying, but the mother died from her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
