A 4-year old girl was reportedly rushed to the hospital after she accidentally shot herself inside a car in the Haverford section of the city this afternoon. A report from NBC-10 Philly said, the incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. on the 4200 block of Fairmount Avenue, on Saturday afternoon.

According to police the child was sitting inside of a parked car. She was holding the gun when she accidentally shot herself in the left hand.
The child was taken to the Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia by private vehicle. The 4-year old was last reported to be in stable condition. Policed said a weapon was recovered from inside of the vehicle.
No criminal charges against anyone has been made public and no arrests have been made at this time.
