A 63-year old, owner of a store was reportedly robbed and assaulted in North Philadelphia on Friday. A 6 ABC Action News report said, the incident happened on the 1300 block of Girard Avenue at around 7 p.m. on Friday evening.
Police say the 63-year old victim was closing up his business for the evening, when he was approached by a masked man. The suspect reportedly hit the victim in the head with a brick and took around $3000 cash from him.
The victim was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. The man was reportedly suffering from “serious head injuries”, but he was last reported to be in stable condition.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
