The victim and a woman had reportedly stopped at the water ice stand, and were exiting their vehicle when they were approached by a male suspect.

“They engage in some sort of discussion which turns into an argument and shortly thereafter the male pulls out a gun and fires at least four times at the gunshot victim.” Said Philadelphia Police Inspector, D.F. Pace.

According to police, part of the incident was captured on surveillance video from a nearby residence. The video shows the suspect fleeing the scene on foot after the shooting, according to police. The victim was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was last reported to be in critical but stable condition.

No suspects have been named and no one has been arrested at this time.
