A 14-year old boy was reportedly shot in the leg as he stood at a bus stop on Sunday night in West Philadelphia. A 6 ABC Action news report said, the incident happened in the area of 57th & Vine Streets at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night.

The juvenile victim was taken to Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital by private vehicle. He was later transported to Children’s Hospital for further treatment, according to the report.
Police reported finding nine spent shell casings that came from a 9mm handgun. But police aren’t sure if the juvenile was the intended target.
“It’s not clear at this time if he was being targeted. The shell casings are all grouped pretty well together indicating the shooter pretty much stayed in one spot as he was shooting”, said Philadelphia Inspector D.F. Pace.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
