A 60-year old man was reportedly injured after he drove through a shootout that was taking place in North Philly overnight. a 6 ABC Action News report said, the incident happened near the intersection of Germantown & Lehigh Avenues at around 2 a.m. early on Monday morning.
Police say the victim was driving past the Great Taste Chinese takeout restaurant, when his car’s windows were shattered by bullets. Twenty shell casings were reportedly found at the scene. Police said the victim drove a few blocks before calling police. He was taken to the hospital and last reported to be in stable condition. There was no information about where the victim was shot, or how many times.
Just a few minutes later, once again on Lehigh Avenue, about 9 blocks away from the first shooting, another shooting took place near a restaurant, according to police.
This time it happened on Lehigh Avenue & West Mascher Street in West Kensington. Police said they found two shooting victims outside of the restaurant, on the street. Both victims were reportedly suffering from non life-threatening injuries. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
No suspects have been named and no one has been arrested in either one of the separate shooting incidents at this time.
