The United States Attorney’s office announced charges against two men from Philadelphia, for multiple carjackings inside of the city and in Delaware County. A report from FOX-29 PHILLY said 20-year old, Tarik Chambers, and 22-year old, Nikeem Leach-Hilton, were formally indicted by a federal grand jury in early April.
Both men were charged with conspiracy, three counts of carjacking, three counts of carrying a firearm, and other related charges. One particular incident in the indictment, alleges that the two carjacked two victims at gunpoint in the Lawncrest section of the city, on December 19, 2021. The pair are alleged to have carjacked two more victims at gunpoint in the Germantown section of the city, 20-minutes later. About 6-hours after that incident, the indictment goes on to allege that the pair used a “ghost gun” to carjack another victim on Baltimore Pike, in Springfield Township.
If convicted on all charges, the suspects will be reportedly facing 21-years in prison minimum, and a maximum sentence of life in prison, according to the Fox-29 report.
