Police say two gunmen fired at least 36 bullets on a street in the Lawncrest section of the city overnight, leaving two men injured, including the intended target. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS said the shooting happened at around 1 a.m. on Rosalie Street near Rising Sun Avenue early on Monday morning.
The 27-year old, who was reportedly the intended target, was shot in the abdomen and both legs. He was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center where doctors immediately began emergency surgery. He was last reported to be in critical condition.
A 51-year old man who was riding his bike in the area, was also struck by gunfire. He was hit in the stomach. He reportedly managed to peddle home and get someone to drive him to the hospital. He was last reported to be in stable condition.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
