33-year old rapper/entertainer A$AP Rocky, A.K.A. Rakim Mayers, was reportedly detained and then arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday afternoon. A report from TMZ said Rocky and his girlfriend Rihanna had just landed at the airport via private jet, when Rocky was detained.
The LAPD confirmed Rocky’s arrest in a tweet posted to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon. Rocky is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon, for an incident on Nov. 6, where the rapper allegedly fired at least four shots at a man on a street corner in Hollywood. The victim reportedly suffered from minor injuries as a result of the shooting.
