Police in Philadelphia said a 21-year old man was gunned down on the front porch of a friend’s house, where him and other friends were watching the 76ers-Raptors playoff game last night. According to a 6 ABC ACTION NEWS report, the victim was just returning from picking up some takeout food from a restaurant up the block. The incident happened on the 300 block of East Earlham Terrace in the Germantown section of the city, ay around 9:30 p.m. on Monday night.
Responding officers said they found the victim lying on the front porch of the property. He was reportedly suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest, torso, and upper body. Police said the shooter(s) fired at least ten shots at the victim, from close range.
At least six of those shots reportedly entered the home, according to police. There were 10 people inside watching the game, including two children under the age of 10. Luckily, no one else was hit by gunfire. The 21-year old victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
