Norristown Police said that they have broken up an alleged drug operation that stretched from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. 6 ABC ACTION NEWS reported that the “year-long” operation by police and other authorities, resulted in multiple arrests and millions of dollars worth of drugs.
The alleged ring leaders of the gang were taken into custody during a sweep on March 15th. The top players in the organization are alleged to be 29-year old Tyrone Baker of East Lansdowne, 27-year old Shakeem Johnson of Philadelphia, 31-year old, Joshua Quiles of King Of Prussia, 21-year old Jhamir Winans of Exton, and 28-year old Ricky Evans of Los Angeles, CA. Evans has reportedly been extradited to Montgomery County to await trial with his co-defendants.
The Montgomery County D.A’ s Office said the investigation into the organization began in March 2021, when an undercover agent purchased two pounds of Meth from 29-year old, Chase Smith of Upper Darby. That arrests allegedly opened the doors for police to get on the inside of the organization’s Philly, Maryland, and New Jersey operations.
